I stumbled upon a very nice piece of weblog from a fellow Gen X nerd and friend of mine (Lars) (http://larsmartinson.com/stuff-i-like-the-amazing-twins) about the Amazing Twins:

I am intriged by them as much as you are, Lars! Yet, call me stupid, but they seem to refer to a belgian comic figure Kuifje (also known as Tin Tin). I think there are some similarities when you look at this picture.

There heads reminded me of Kuifje, and even the rocket is of similar design. AND in the downright corner: isn't that Kuifje with his dog?

And then there is their transportation device. Isn't that a reference to the Brussels Atomium?

Is there a story behind all this? : ) Did Muk Sui-Fung and Colan Ho Ka-chiu (or Benny Au and Colin Ho) visit Belgium? What went on?

And then it hit me! Of course! The amazing twins: Jansen&Jansen! (also from Kuifje) I rest my case!
